Your observations are good, Umair, but the conclusions you have arrived at are not quite accurate.

Let me suggest that American media are certainly sociopathic and psychopathic; and that many Americans were raised by the media instead of parents or guardians who had a body and a heart beating inside that body -- however, what we see in broadcasts, and what is being transmitted through any form of media, for example on the internet, is not exactly a mirror of the people, or the mirror of all people living in the US.

There are a lot of people who will never speak up for those in pain in an online setting, and it is not lucrative (as of now) for news stations to show sane, caring, content or principled people who show up with clarity and love in their community. There are a lot of people who have compassion fatigue and will not make themselves vulnerable to people who they can never meet in person.

But — there are still plenty of people in real life who serve the common good, respond with warmth and compassion, and whose value systems were not formed by what they watched on some kind of screen.
