Natural Mosquito Repellents

Basil, bee balm, catnip, citronella, clove, geranium, lavender, lemon balm, lemon grass, lemon verbena, marigold, most mints, especially peppermint, pennyroyal, rosemary…

Almost all of these plants are low maintenance, edible, with a fresh scent (minus marigolds), and they look attractive. It is good to grow them near your windows, doors, patio. All of them will do the job. None are 100% effective, if mosquitoes happen to love your blood, though.

Rub castor oil on your skin, when you spend many hours outdoors. Castor oil has made the biggest difference to me.
