Full Moon №2 In November: Fortune Favours the Bold.

Happy full Beaver Moon. If you were up before dawn and lucky enough to have a clear sky, you saw the full moon in its glory. The moon is still full — you can look up now.

Full moons are about maximum absorption, while new moons are about maximum detox, as I mentioned in my article about the new moon in Scorpio two weeks ago: https://nandajurela.medium.com/new-moon-in-november-gratification-6b9590502450

New moons are perfect for clean-ups — both of the environment and of your body. As the moon grows, cleaning takes more and more effort. Opt for what is easy now. On full moon, your body holds onto everything that you take in orally, through your skin, and into your consciousness. Choose something that builds you up and that will repair your health and balance deficiencies. When the moon is full, animals and people are very open to atmospheric influences. Time to slow down. Let the moon shine onto your crown and into your eyes.

This full moon is in Gemini. Moon in Gemini affects the lungs, the bronchi and the respiratory system, your breathing, and the nervous system. It also affects the shoulders, arms, hands and fingers. Avoid surgeries and injuries to these body parts. They will heal slower than usual. Give them kindness instead: anything that helps you breathe deeper, that decongests your sinuses, that calms your nerves, and that keeps your arms and hands limber and happy is good self-care. Your body will thank you for it.

Go outside. Move in the fresh air. Let it fill your lungs. Herbs like oregano, basil, mint, rosemary, and edible flowers are great additions to the soup and salad that you eat today, to the tea that you drink, and to the water that you shower or bathe in. Steam baths with tiger balm and one or all of the mentioned herbs are very beneficial. Give your hands and fingers some TLC with a mini-manicure. Before you go to sleep, rub your moisturizer or high quality oils like almond oil and castor oil into your small joints, the cuticles, the back of your hands and into your palms. For better results, put on cotton gloves for the night. Your hands will be super smooth in the morning.

Give your shoulders, your elbows and your wrists a massage with castor oil before sleep too. Keep them warm during the night. You will be surprised how light and young and flexible they will feel the following day.

Rub some castor oil into your nostrils. Use your neti pot. Your nasal passageways will feel clean and so good.

Lunar gardeners have noticed that the moon in Gemini boosts all flowers. If you live in the Southern hemisphere, today and tomorrow are good days to sow new flowers and to fertilize (with rice water or your favourite plant food) the bushes, trees and plants in your garden that bloom during the growing season. In the Northern hemisphere, it is late fall now; but houseplants blossom! Thanksgiving and Christmas cactus and many begonias and orchids develop their flowers in this time of the year. Feed them rice water or your usual plant food. The new buds will bring colour and scents to your rooms when the outdoors offers grey and brown and snow white. This morning, I noticed new pink, red and white flowers on my houseplants. I let them know how much I appreciate their beauty and their gentle existence.

When Moon is in Gemini, thoughts clear up, communication is easy, and the mind is quite active. This is a great opportunity to express what is in your heart — in writing and face to face. It is also a great moment to plan your next steps. Structuring your projects and breaking up goals into manageable steps is a breeze. Give it a try.

This day lends itself to verbalizing your feelings and thoughts and plans and gratitude. We are almost at the end of a year that has been different from most years, for almost all people. 2020 will remain in our memory and in our collective consciousness as an irregular year that challenged every human being in some way. If you took the time to reflect on your life and to think about what you wanted your future to be, and if you made a few steps to manifest that future, you have things to be grateful for. This year is not over. Let this full moon be a day for intelligent thoughts.

“Who do I need to become in order to have the life that I would love?”

Write down the thoughts that come to you.

If you are a visual learner, make a vision board. Hang it up in a place where you will see it often.

If you are an auditory learner, record your thoughts into a device that you can play every morning after you wake up.

Start your new routine tomorrow.

This full moon is the most auspicious time to use your brain and to commit to your tomorrow.

“Who do I want to be? Who do I need to be? That load that I still carry — do I really need to hold onto it? When will I put it down?

Could I let that baggage go?

How about now?”

Surround yourself with a team that cheers you on, is happy about your growth and health and success, holds you accountable, and simply loves you. Approval and celebratory energies are priceless.

Let the people who already bless you with their loving presence know that you appreciate them. Tell everyone you care about how you feel about them. Words of love go straight to the heart. Words of reassurance calm a person who may be worried or feels invisible and lonely. Boost someone’s confidence this week. “Make somebody happy. Make somebody strong”, as the song goes. (Thank you, Carlos Santana, for the terrific tune.)

This full moon is the second full moon in November; it falls on the last day of the month, a Monday (a moon-day!); and there is a lunar eclipse, too.

You probably heard before that it takes 21 days to form a new habit. Winter solstice is in three weeks. Another astronomic event, the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, will mark that change of the seasons. Give my suggestions a go. Take the next best step. Guess what, solstice will be better!

Today may be one of those days when you don’t have a lot of appetite for food, but a lot of appetite for ideas. Feed your spirit with inspiration. Give your mind something to chew on. Apply your mind towards goals that are specific, measurable, attainable and time-bound (SMART). Encourage a friend. Then encourage yourself. You can do it!

Drink a lot of water. Take your vitamin Bs. Eat for your brain. Avocado, avocado oil, blueberries, dark chocolate, lentils, pumpkin seeds, turmeric, walnuts are great choices.

Until the new moon in Sagittarius — and my next lunar article.

Make your move tomorrow. Leap. It will energize you. Make new memories.

2020 will turn into a memory about how people argued about face masks and similar nonsense, or it will turn into a memory about “Hey, hear, woohoo! This is when I started a new chapter… This is when I first envisioned my business.. This is when I wrote my first list about… This is when I first reached out to…. This is when I decided to…..“.

Choose what sounds better to you. Fortune favours the bold.
