Thanks to Pikist

On this last Friday of the year, we are meeting in our meditation for the well-being of all life on earth and in our reiki-send.

Feel free to consciously go over your year, its high-lights, lessons, challenges and its lucky coincidences, solutions and encounters.

I thank everyone who has been sending me reiki for my healing.

The injuries were worse than I mentioned. I was not quite ready to contemplate a long recovery. Plus, the weeks leading to my fall were a shock to my system. For reasons I kept quiet about. It was not a reiki problem, or something I could sum up neatly. I will summarize that patch in time as: first I got thrown off energetically by a crazymaker, then I got thrown off literally: I fell, after losing my balance.

Hopefully I can avoid a cast — I will know more in January.

I am not sure that I “learned” what there was to learn, except that I need a bit more quality and quantity in my advisors and that I am not quite as equipped to deal with destructive personalities as I imagined I was.

Which is a good New Year’s resolution: to improve my inner circle and to widen my network to people who offer wisdom for real life.

I did get encouragements like Mars transiting my sun sign (in my chart, Mars is weak, and, frankly, I do not identify with Mars — okay to the men who can) and less helpful instructions, to dissociate, to make myself accountable to someone else’s mistakes, to suck it up, or barely disguised blame about how I may have “brought it on” to me or what I failed to do to get so victimized. There is a reason why I got these replies. By December 2024, I want to know people who can help and provide a perspective that suits the situation, untangles knots, and who are interested in me.

I then had a beautiful Christmas with my visitors — my sister and brother-in-law. These moments made me think other thoughts and were a break from the stress and pain. We, our core group, encountered a coyote, a pigeon with iridescent plumage on a balcony at the 11th floor and a rabbit (in the Year of the Rabbit). Tiny birds have been swirling around me, too. I am always impressed by their ability to take off and rise high into the sky.

While the end of this year was both dramatic and a gift to me, all the months preceding the tail of 2023 were quite good. I used my vision boards, I manifested some, though not all, goals, I invigorated processes and pathways on which good can travel forward and back. I also healed a few old memories of despair: the events happened, of course, but I experience them like an anecdote or a movie now rather than a stirring, emotional whip or burden, or a reason to procrastinate. I used a mindfulness technique that I connected to easily. It involved writing (but it can be done meditatively, too, I think; I just like to use my hands as well). I might share more about it in a few weeks if I get the sense that you want to let hurts fade and extend your periods of equanimity, too.

I am grateful for this year for many reasons. So much is far from perfect, but there is so much good at the same time too, and we need to direct our gaze to the good. This is the optimal way to learn: acknowledge what is good, discover reasons to be grateful, find people who remind us why gratitude heals the mind, engages the heart and grows our wisdom — the connection between our thoughts and sentiments, values and choices. Gratitude is also a key to our creativity: we want to create what makes us feel grateful and more blessed.

I thank everyone who sent me healing, and I humbly request more healing. Until I am fully mobile again.

May the rosiest bliss be the mood of your New Year’s Eve. May santosha rain on you in 2024.

Itadakimasu.

Thank you for participating! I appreciate you more than I can express.
