Corn fields used to be a place of magic for children all over the world. It is something we all understood. Today, I don’t see children playing in them anymore.

I love the smell of corn, the whole plant. That blend of sun and moisture, the milky sweetness in the ripening vegetables, the mild and pleasant scents of the leaves and the stalks, the air and the soil. I also love how the sun plays on all the green colours in the corn field. All that brings back sweet memories.

I will go get lost in a corn field today. It is good to remember hours of bliss.
